The Belle Epoque refers to a period marked by social, economic, technological and political progress from the end of the 19th century to the First World War.
The Art Nouveau style, sometimes called modern style, is avant-garde and calls for inventiveness. Featuring vegetal and arabesque curves, the singular aim is to achieve pleasant and decorative aesthetics.

Mirror

This large rectangular mirror is made of wood and tortoise shell painted plaster. It features a wide gilded moulding around the edge, highlighting a bevelled mirror with authentic mercury. The pediment features an oval painting of two cherubs. Placed on the floor or on a mantelpiece, this superb mirror is sure to attract attention.
