OUT OF STOCK
The carved pediment of this Napoleon III style cupboard dating from the end of the 19th century is a real gem. Diverted from its original use, I turned it into a bookcase by removing the doors. But it could also be a superb showcase. All your precious trinkets will find their place there and will be highlighted.
Late 19th century
Style: Napoleon III
Nephew of Napoleon I, Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte was elected President of the Second Republic in 1848 before becoming Emperor Napoleon III in 1852 following a coup d'etat.
Napoleon III style is one of the most interesting even if nothing is really novel with elements borrowed from preceding styles. Based on the taste of the period, Japanese, Chinese and Oriental art brings a richness, abundance and eclecticism specific to this period.
