Made of bronze and enamel in a deep burgundy colour, they are very ornate. Lion heads adorn the sides. They have 5 arms and a centre piece that can be removed for a sixth candle, enough to brighten up your elegant dinners!

Nephew of Napoleon I, Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte was elected President of the Second Republic in 1848 before becoming Emperor Napoleon III in 1852 following a coup d'etat.


Napoleon III style is one of the most interesting even if nothing is really novel with elements borrowed from preceding styles. Based on the taste of the period, Japanese, Chinese and Oriental art brings a richness, abundance and eclecticism specific to this period.
