This very attractive indoor planter in "barbotine" is characteristic of the Art Nouveau style, which is recognised above all by the ultra-fine patterns in the form of flowers and plants.
In ceramics and pottery, "barbotine" is clay paste mixed with water. "Barbotine" decoration consists of adding in relief decoration on a pottery, and the decorated pottery is called "barbotine".
