Very attractive Limoges porcelain bowl with hand painted decoration signed Marcel Chaufriasse and dating from the 1960s.
It is a "bleu de four" which is a traditional technique of Limoges. The biscuit of the porcelain is dipped in a cobalt blue glaze. The objects are fired at 1,400 degrees for a high quality and long-lasting brilliance of the colours.
