This charming oval frame, crafted in sculpted wood, features the elegant curves and delicate detailing characteristic of the Louis XV style. Topped with a beautifully carved shell motif, it dates from around 1900, carrying with it the grace of a bygone era.
I’ve placed a composition of dried herbs on a velvet background inside, creating a soft, vintage-inspired display. But the possibilities are endless—you could showcase a painting, a cherished photograph, or even transform it into a mirror. Whatever you choose, this frame is sure to enhance and highlight it beautifully.
A versatile and decorative piece ready to bring a touch of history and refinement to your space.

More Information
Style: Louis XV
Louis XV, known as the "Beloved" reigned over the kingdom of France from 1715 to 1774, he was the only king of France to be born and die at the Palace of Versailles.
The Louis XV style is characterized by its elegance and lightness. It is recognizable by the grace of the curved legs of the furniture with "pied de biche"(deer foot).
The wood is natural, gilded or painted. The "rococo" style ornamentation is inspired by nature and exoticism.
