A beautiful Louis XV trumeau dating from the late 19th century, in a soft off‑white tone with gilt accents in real gold leaf. The bevelled mirror is framed by a delicate beaded border, while the upper section features the classic Louis XV shell, adding grace and lightness to the piece. Its original paint, with the natural age lines we French find so charming, gives it that authentic character. If you prefer a more uniform look, the small fissures can be softened and the white paint refreshed. An elegant trumeau, perfect above a commode or a console, bringing a refined French touch to any interior.

Style: Louis XV
Louis XV, known as the "Beloved" reigned over the kingdom of France from 1715 to 1774, he was the only king of France to be born and die at the Palace of Versailles.
The Louis XV style is characterized by its elegance and lightness. It is recognizable by the grace of the curved legs of the furniture with "pied de biche"(deer foot).
The wood is natural, gilded or painted. The "rococo" style ornamentation is inspired by nature and exoticism.
