I’m pleased to present this beautiful vase de mariée in the Restauration style, dating from the mid‑19th century. Its flared “cornet” shape, scalloped rim and vertical fluting are all characteristic of the period.
The combination of pure, glossy white, royal‑blue fillets and fine gilded accents is typical of Paris porcelain of the time. The stylised floral decoration, with gilt acanthus leaves and soft blue flowers, reflects the delicate aesthetic associated with these pieces.
The inner rim is also finely decorated with a gilt garland, a charming detail that enhances its refinement.
Traditionally offered as a wedding gift, this type of vase was used to display and preserve the bride’s bouquet, sometimes under a glass dome.
A poetic and symbolic object, carrying the charm of its era.
