I’m delighted to share this elegant pair of Napoléon III brass candelabras, dating from around 1860. Delicately chiselled, they rest on black and rose marble bases adorned with a floral motif and two small gilt paw feet.
Each candelabra features five arms, ready to hold as many candles.
Their ornamental details, so typical of the 19th century, give the pair real character without ever overwhelming a space. They sit beautifully on a mantelpiece — if you have one — or on a console or chest of drawers, where their refined silhouette blends effortlessly into both classic and contemporary interiors.
All that remains is for you to choose the candles that best complement your décor.

Nephew of Napoleon I, Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte was elected President of the Second Republic in 1848 before becoming Emperor Napoleon III in 1852 following a coup d'etat.
Napoleon III style is one of the most interesting even if nothing is really novel with elements borrowed from preceding styles. Based on the taste of the period, Japanese, Chinese and Oriental art brings a richness, abundance and eclecticism specific to this period.
