Lovely pair of French antique Porcelaine de Paris lamps, dating from circa 1860.
Originally created as oil lamps, this pair features deep cobalt porcelain with hand‑painted floral panels and delicate bronze details. Their graceful silhouette and soft classical curves reflect the late‑19th‑century style, at a moment when French decoration was gently moving toward the early lines of Art Nouveau.

I have recently electrified them, allowing you to enjoy not only their decorative presence and refined aesthetic, but also the gentle charm of soft, indirect lighting.
Fitted with new pleated lampshades, they bring a warm, delicate touch to your interior — perfect on a console, a side table, or framing a mirror.

An authentic expression of Porcelaine de Paris craftsmanship, combining beauty, practicality, and the quiet elegance of 19th‑century French interiors.

More Information

Style: Napoleon III

Nephew of Napoleon I, Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte was elected President of the Second Republic in 1848 before becoming Emperor Napoleon III in 1852 following a coup d'etat.

Napoleon III style is one of the most interesting even if nothing is really novel with elements borrowed from preceding styles. Based on the taste of the period, Japanese, Chinese and Oriental art brings a richness, abundance and eclecticism specific to this period.
