This very attractive "curule" stool is upholstered in gorgeous blue silk embroidered with flowers and garlands. The word "curule" comes from Roman antiquity, when it was used to describe an ivory chair reserved for the use of certain high-ranking Roman officials.
Its X-shaped base rests on scrolls and the two fronts are embellished with beautiful carving.
It can be used in the living room as an accent chair or in a bedroom as a bed end or in front of a vanity table.
