This delightful little accent table is called a "kidney" table because of the shape of its top. Adorned with a pretty white marble surrounded by a brass gallery, it will look great in your living room as a side table. It has three little drawers.
Late 19th century
Style: Napoleon III
Nephew of Napoleon I, Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte was elected President of the Second Republic in 1848 before becoming Emperor Napoleon III in 1852 following a coup d'etat.
Napoleon III style is one of the most interesting even if nothing is really novel with elements borrowed from preceding styles. Based on the taste of the period, Japanese, Chinese and Oriental art brings a richness, abundance and eclecticism specific to this period.
