The "bouillotte" lamp is one of the most renowned design products in history, especially during the 19th century. Originally designed as an accessory for card games, it takes its name from the game itself: bouillotte. This lamp was placed in the center of the eponymous table, which I've already mentioned. The base of the lamp is shaped like a bowl, intended to collect a portion of the chips during each round, typically meant for the household staff at the end of the game. The one I'm offering here is made of bronze, featuring two candleholders and a stunning deep red metal oval lampshade. It is also electrified and the height of the lampshade can be adjusted.

The Louis XVI style is classical, inspired by Antiquity, the shapes are geometric, the legs of the furniture are straight and light, often fluted.
