This superb large mirror, dating from circa 1860, is a striking example of Napoleon III style, crafted in wood and stucco with a rich gilded finish. Flanked by columns topped with ornate capitals and pinecone finials, it boasts an intricately detailed pediment crowned by a classical urn. The glass is bevelled, and the back is panelled in parquet.
Despite its elaborate craftsmanship, it integrates beautifully into a variety of interiors — from classic to eclectic. Its generous size allows it to hang gracefully above a chest of drawers or console table, though it also makes a stunning statement as a full-length mirror when placed on the floor.
