Traditionally designed to display fine silverware, the argentier sets itself apart from a classic display cabinet with its three glazed sides. This French example, dating from around 1910, is a beautiful interpretation in the Louis XV style.
Featuring a mirrored back, three glass shelves, and a fabric-lined lower tier, it offers the perfect stage for showcasing your most treasured pieces. The finely embossed brass ornaments highlight the elegance of the design.
A rare find — both decorative and distinguished — meant to catch the light and the eye.

Style: Louis XV
Louis XV, known as the "Beloved" reigned over the kingdom of France from 1715 to 1774, he was the only king of France to be born and die at the Palace of Versailles.
The Louis XV style is characterized by its elegance and lightness. It is recognizable by the grace of the curved legs of the furniture with "pied de biche"(deer foot).
The wood is natural, gilded or painted. The "rococo" style ornamentation is inspired by nature and exoticism.
