This charming Louis XV–style bonnetière, dating from the 1950s, is a lovely example of the tall, narrow single‑door wardrobes once used to store bonnets and headpieces — which is where the name comes from.
The piece I’m sharing with you is a high‑quality French reproduction, crafted in the spirit of country Louis XV furniture, much like the traditional wedding armoires (the basket motif carved on the door is a clear nod to that heritage).
It has a beautifully aged patina that gives it warmth and character.
Wherever you place it — in a bedroom, an entryway, or even a living room — it will be both decorative and practical, thanks to its interior shelves.
A graceful, easy‑to‑live‑with piece that brings a touch of French charm to any space.

More Information
Style: Louis XV
Louis XV, known as the "Beloved" reigned over the kingdom of France from 1715 to 1774, he was the only king of France to be born and die at the Palace of Versailles.
The Louis XV style is characterized by its elegance and lightness. It is recognizable by the grace of the curved legs of the furniture with "pied de biche"(deer foot).
The wood is natural, gilded or painted. The "rococo" style ornamentation is inspired by nature and exoticism.
