A charming Louis XV–style chest of drawers dating from circa 1920, beautifully crafted and now refinished in a satin black. The original marquetry was too damaged to be saved, but it would have been a shame to let such a well‑made piece disappear. Its graceful curves are highlighted by finely cast bronze ornaments that stand out like jewellery, and the ochre‑toned marble adds a delicate, luminous touch.
This elegant renovation will blend effortlessly into both contemporary and classic interiors. A medium‑sized chest of drawers that will find its place in any room — an inviting piece, ready to accompany your own sense of style.

Style: Louis XV
Louis XV, known as the "Beloved" reigned over the kingdom of France from 1715 to 1774, he was the only king of France to be born and die at the Palace of Versailles.
The Louis XV style is characterized by its elegance and lightness. It is recognizable by the grace of the curved legs of the furniture with "pied de biche"(deer foot).
The wood is natural, gilded or painted. The "rococo" style ornamentation is inspired by nature and exoticism.
