A charming Louis XV cherrywood commode dating from circa 1960, modest in size and beautifully simple, the kind of piece that slips naturally into any interior. Its warm cherrywood tone brings that gentle, familiar atmosphere we would call in French maison de famille. The two drawers are framed by soft curves and a typical Louis XV shell carved into the lower apron, a discreet detail that reflects the quality of traditional cabinetmaking. A small, welcoming commode with the warmth of old‑style craftsmanship, bringing ease, character and a sense of lived‑in elegance wherever it stands.

Style: Louis XV
Louis XV, known as the "Beloved" reigned over the kingdom of France from 1715 to 1774, he was the only king of France to be born and die at the Palace of Versailles.
The Louis XV style is characterized by its elegance and lightness. It is recognizable by the grace of the curved legs of the furniture with "pied de biche"(deer foot).
The wood is natural, gilded or painted. The "rococo" style ornamentation is inspired by nature and exoticism.
