After 1925 and the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts, furniture adopts the style Art Deco.
A concern for comfort predominates, the wood is often hidden by a leather or textile covering. Shapes become simpler but decoration is luxurious, mainly inspired by the Cubist style.
