Allow me to introduce you to a unique piece of French furniture vocabulary: the "table bouillotte." This elegant, lightweight table features a small round top with a circular edge and four straight, tapered, and fluted legs.
Named after the popular card game "bouillotte," which was all the rage at the end of the 18th century and traditionally played on this very table, it combines historical charm with functionality. The edge typically includes one or two drawers and sometimes sliding shelves, while the top is adorned with marble or marquetry and framed by a stylish copper border. For added versatility, a felt mat could be used for card games.
The table I’m presenting retains all these classic features but is designed lower, much like a contemporary coffee table. Adorned with a beautiful ochre marble and dating from circa 1920 in the Louis XVI style, it seamlessly fits into modern living spaces while offering a touch of timeless elegance.

More Information
Style: Louis XVI
