Louis XV chest of drawers are iconic symbols of French decorative arts, and this one is a fine mid-century interpretation. Crafted with geometric marquetry and adorned with beautifully cast bronze mounts, it’s topped with an ochre marble that adds warmth and character.
The craftsmanship is of notable quality, typical of fine cabinetmaking from the 1950s. The lock is fully functional. Whether placed in an entryway, bedroom, or living room, it’s a piece that brings presence and quiet elegance to any interior.

Style: Louis XV
Louis XV, known as the "Beloved" reigned over the kingdom of France from 1715 to 1774, he was the only king of France to be born and die at the Palace of Versailles.
The Louis XV style is characterized by its elegance and lightness. It is recognizable by the grace of the curved legs of the furniture with "pied de biche"(deer foot).
The wood is natural, gilded or painted. The "rococo" style ornamentation is inspired by nature and exoticism.
