Superb large Louis XV–style chest of drawers dating from the 1930s, a French piece of very fine craftsmanship. It features marquetry in various precious woods arranged in a radiant pattern. Its curved lines, serpentine front and cabriole legs embody the essence of the Louis XV style. The piece is adorned with finely chiselled gilt‑bronze mounts on the handles, keyhole escutcheons and sabots, and is topped with a marble slab.

Its size, condition and quality of execution make it a remarkable piece, ideal for a spacious bedroom, an entrance hall or a living room.
