This near‑pair of Louis XVI–style guéridons is crafted in mahogany, with only the slightest variation in the base—something so discreet it is virtually unnoticeable. Their tripod legs and circular white marble tops, each framed by an openwork brass gallery, give them a very classic and elegant presence. These are French reproductions from the 1950s, with all the charm and quality of that period.
They make wonderful sofa‑end tables, chic accent tables, or even bedside tables in a guest room. Versatile, refined and easy to place, they bring a touch of French character wherever you choose to use them.

More Information
Style: Louis XVI
Louis XVI, who reigned from 1774 to 1789, is remembered as the last absolute monarch. The French Revolution of 1789 overthrew the monarchy by divine right and Louis XVI was guillotined on January 21st 1793.
The Louis XVI style is classical, inspired by Antiquity, the shapes are geometric, the legs of the furniture are straight and light, often fluted. However, under the influence of Marie-Antoinette, the ornaments are enriched with musical and rural attributes, ribbon bows giving a delicate touch to the furniture.
