A charming Louis XVI–inspired vanity, reinterpreted through the Art Deco spirit of the 1930s.
It’s made of walnut, and the pivoting mirror — held by those little brass pine‑cone finials — gives it so much character. The proportions are wonderfully balanced, with two small drawers framing the mirror like tiny shelves, and a larger central drawer that makes it genuinely practical.

It’s the kind of piece that slips naturally into a bedroom, adding a quiet sense of elegance and refinement. There’s something very graceful about sitting down at a vanity like this — the ritual of getting ready, the beauty of simple gestures, the pleasure of a well‑designed object that has kept all its charm.

More Information

Style: Louis XVI

Louis XVI, who reigned from 1774 to 1789, is remembered as the last absolute monarch. The French Revolution of 1789 overthrew the monarchy by divine right and Louis XVI was guillotined on January 21st 1793.

The Louis XVI style is classical, inspired by Antiquity, the shapes are geometric, the legs of the furniture are straight and light, often fluted. However, under the influence of Marie-Antoinette, the ornaments are enriched with musical and rural attributes, ribbon bows giving a delicate touch to the furniture.
